Root to Rise is the education and community layer for people navigating plant medicine, beyond the consultation room. We support people with their health and the everyday questions that clinical appointments often leave behind.
We aim to create public learning experiences and wellness events, alongside selected spaces for current medicinal cannabis patients in conjunction with their clinic.
-
For us, “plant medicine” primarily refers to medicinal cannabis and the broader relationship people have with the plant, beyond prescriptions and clinical consultations.
We recognise cannabis as something that may sit within medical care while also intersecting with wellbeing, identity, regulation, ritual, community and lived experience.
Root to Rise does not supply cannabis or provide services involving illicit or other controlled substances.
-
Events may include educational workshops, guided discussions, peer-led circles, mindfulness practices, movement and other complementary wellness experiences.
Each event will clearly explain its format and intended audience.
-
Public workshops, educational events and selected wellness experiences are open to people interested in plant medicine, regulation and complementary wellbeing.
Other selected events are for current medicinal cannabis patients.
-
Peer support is based on shared experience, mutual respect and connection. It creates space for people to discuss what they have experienced, what has helped, what remains difficult and what they wish existed within the current system.
Peer support is not medical advice, counselling or crisis care.
-
Root to Rise does not provide medical consultations, prescriptions, medicines or individual medical advice.
We offer community-based education, connection and peer support. We do not provide clinical care or replace your relationship with a qualified health professional. Please direct your medical queries to your clinic/health provider.
-
It depends on the event.
